{"id":2716,"date":"2010-02-01T07:39:48","date_gmt":"2010-02-01T12:39:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/?p=2716"},"modified":"2025-04-30T13:15:12","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T17:15:12","slug":"32365","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2010\/02\/01\/32365\/","title":{"rendered":"32\/365"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So here we go.\u00a0 I need to drop 10 pounds.\u00a0 Well at least that is what I am guessing.\u00a0 We don&#8217;t have a scale.<\/p>\n<p>Dietary I think I do &#8220;ok&#8221;.\u00a0 I try to buy all organic and I have made a bigger effort to eat at home.\u00a0 We have swapped a lot of order out pizza for our homemade sweet potato\u00a0 pizza (shhh kids don&#8217;t know it has sweet potatoes in it).\u00a0 I also take a <em>ton<\/em> of vitamins (I don&#8217;t eat red meat and I think I have finally found the combo that I was lacking), cut out all soda.\u00a0 I am now inspired to buy all our chicken from Whole Foods.\u00a0 I have not seen Food Inc. but I have heard enough make me run straight to WH for all things animal related.\u00a0 We have only drank organic milk for years.\u00a0 I need to switch our cheese as well.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong, if I want a bowl of ice cream I will eat it.\u00a0 Because the truth is I have seen myself really skinny and it&#8217;s not the best look.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think skinny looks good on anyone.\u00a0 But that&#8217;s just my personal opinion, and the reason I tell myself that giving up chocolate isn&#8217;t necessary.\u00a0 LOL.\u00a0 I do think being in shape looks good.\u00a0 So that is my goal.\u00a0 Maybe not really to lose 10 pounds, but to firm up the pounds I have.<\/p>\n<p>My gym work-out is getting boring and obviously not working.<\/p>\n<p>My plan is to step up the exercise and see if that helps.\u00a0 Try new things.\u00a0 But I am limited in what I can do with a 9 month old.<\/p>\n<p>I watched The biggest Loser for the first time ever the other night.<\/p>\n<p>Today I bought the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred.\u00a0 You know, to shed.<\/p>\n<p>I even convinced someone to do it with me before his basketball game.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/workout.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2717\" title=\"workout\" src=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/workout-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/workout-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/workout-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/workout-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/workout-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/workout-1024x682-200x133.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/workout-1024x682-348x232.jpg 348w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We did level one- with his commentary cracking me up.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Large\" title=\"IMG_4830\" href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/4319735983\/img_4830.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4058\/4319735983_2bdc0b8845_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4830\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jillian looks hardcore in that picture.\u00a0 Blake gave up after level one, so I went on to level two.\u00a0 I figured out later that you are supposed to do one or the other, not both.\u00a0 Level two was harder- the walk-out push-ups.\u00a0 Ouch.<\/p>\n<p>I have to say the thing that I love about Jillian is she has a real body.\u00a0 She isn&#8217;t a toothpick.\u00a0 She is just solid.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not.<\/p>\n<p>But I want to be \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>So I only have enough workout pants for three days a week- and I don&#8217;t want to do laundry every day.\u00a0 So if I am going to step up the workouts, I need more workout pants.\u00a0 Because I have a fave, they look like this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/vsx.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2714\" title=\"vsx\" src=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/vsx.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"424\" height=\"572\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/vsx.jpg 424w, https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/vsx-222x300.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 424px) 100vw, 424px\" \/><\/a>Do you think she got this body from working out, or just not eating&#8230;
