I have talked about Granville <\/a>before.\u00a0 Andy and I always talk about moving “out” there.\u00a0 It is about 20 minutes from where we currently live.\u00a0 It’s an old historic town nestled down in a valley, a University town<\/a> with one of the best school districts<\/a> in our state.<\/p>\n

Every time we go out there we say, “why don’t we live here?”\u00a0 Even our kids love it.<\/p>\n

And did I mention it is closer to my husbands place of employment?\u00a0 And since he seems to live at work at these days, every minute off of that 45 minute commute counts!<\/p>\n

Oh and it doesn’t help when I run into Jeanie, a woman I met through Andy’s work a few years back.\u00a0 I have posted pics of her house before.\u00a0 Ok, well I guess I haven’t.\u00a0 I thought I did but it looks like I just talked about it.\u00a0 I will have to dig them up.\u00a0 Very cool house!<\/p>\n

Anyway, Jeanie always does a good job to sell me on Granville.\u00a0 She has lots of cool friends, like Amy Butler<\/a>, Amy Hamiliton<\/a>, and Kevin Reiner.<\/a> Granville is a town that is loaded with artists.<\/p>\n

And due to above friends, Jeannie has been in Country Living Magazine a few times.\u00a0 Which embarrasses her like crazy so I hope she doesn’t read my blog.<\/p>\n

So Kevin, who is a designer- likes to buy houses and fix them up.\u00a0 So when I was innocently looking online at houses for sale in Granville I stumbled on this one, and it looked familiar.<\/p>\n

No, we aren’t going to move.\u00a0 But it sure if fun to think about.\u00a0 And you just never know!<\/p>\n

How gorgeous is this house?\u00a0 Have I ever mentioned how much I *adore* old farm houses??\u00a0 Gravel driveway \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Andy and I actually looked at the house next door to this one a few years ago.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Not only is Kevin an interior designer but he is also a landscape designer.\u00a0 He also works for Country Living.\u00a0 These are pictures from the spread in the magazine.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Both of these doors open up to the back- the backyard is big (1 acre)\u00a0 and backs up to a wooded area<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>These doors make my heart go pitter patter.\u00a0 I’m not kidding.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>There is nothing about this house that I don’t like<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Just in case you were wondering if it looked as good in the winter, it does<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>Love<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I have always wanted to try the black trim on the windows but didn’t have the guts<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Claw foot tubs make my heart sing.\u00a0 Yes I would take one any day over my huge jetted tub.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The dark wood floors….\u00a0 love love love<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>As I was laying in bed last night (after watching the Bachelor of course) I kept thinking “why old houses? what is it?”\u00a0 Well besides all of the obvious coolness that comes with old houses, the trim, the built-ins, the character…\u00a0 I LOVE the fact that people have lived in the house for a very long time (since 1890 for this house).\u00a0 Raised their families, walked the floors with a cranky baby, did homework at the kitchen table, had good times and bad times.\u00a0\u00a0 Rocked on the front porch while watching their kiddos run around.\u00a0 History.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This island look like barn milled wood- I bet it is<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Another fave of mine- an open hallway<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Clearly they didn’t realize that Eva is a girl.<\/p>\n

Want to eat dinner outside?<\/p>\n
