{"id":302,"date":"2007-10-01T19:16:58","date_gmt":"2007-10-02T00:16:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2007\/10\/01\/i-told-you-that-you-should-have-moved-out\/"},"modified":"2007-10-01T19:16:58","modified_gmt":"2007-10-02T00:16:58","slug":"i-told-you-that-you-should-have-moved-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2007\/10\/01\/i-told-you-that-you-should-have-moved-out\/","title":{"rendered":"I told you that you should have moved out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was hoping to share some pictures of the Country Living magazine fair that I attended over the weekend but for some reason the picture aspect of wordpress isn&#8217;t working.\u00a0 We had a good time despite the fact that it was LAME-O!\u00a0 We were really hoping to find some cool stuff but all we found was Americana and Taxidermy- no lie!\u00a0 If you want to see some pictures you can check out my flickr pictures <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/36771701@N00\/\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 No pictures of the taxidermy because it was bad enough having to see it there was no way I was going to photograph it.\u00a0 Blech.<br \/>\nThe only thing that I found that I really wanted was that cool <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/36771701@N00\/1464561571\/\">old Ford truck<\/a> but it wasn&#8217;t for sale.\u00a0 Loved it- perfect for running errands around my little town- Dad keep your eyes open, surely someone has one out by you.\u00a0 I did end up buying the new <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1584795816\/ref=s9_asin_image_1\/104-2074676-3741529?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&#038;pf_rd_s=center-1&#038;pf_rd_r=0NQZX0G2VE7196E8ZWQV&#038;pf_rd_t=101&#038;pf_rd_p=278240701&#038;pf_rd_i=507846\">Amy Butler book<\/a> and some <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/36771701@N00\/1465405044\/\">cool pumpkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But that&#8217;s it.\u00a0 The pumpkins and truck were the only cool things there.<\/p>\n<p>Still plugging along with our construction.\u00a0 The three days a week when Cole goes to preschool I run into a dad that recently remodeled his whole house.\u00a0 He lives a few streets over.\u00a0 Every time he sees me he says, &#8220;I told you that you should have moved out.&#8221;\u00a0 Ok he did tell me that before we started but I laughed it off, after-all I have three boys that like their house, three dogs that make is hard to find a rental.\u00a0 Plus my oldest would freak if he didn&#8217;t have his whole routine of walking to and from school with his buddies.\u00a0 But&#8230;.. this weekend I realized how I am in fact getting a bit construction weary.\u00a0 We came home from a party at a friends house down the street and everyone was dirty.\u00a0 The kids had been playing kick the can and ghost in the graveyard and Cole being the youngest of all the kids- was wiped out. But he was filthy.\u00a0 We are down to one bathroom with a shower that we are all sharing.\u00a0 SO the older boys took quick showers and then started brushing their teeth.\u00a0 Cole was naked, cold, and grumpy and yelling for someone to take a shower with him.\u00a0 As I am trying to get him in the shower I realize that 4 people in the tiny bathroom was crazy and there was no way I was going to strip down to help Cole in the shower when there were two older boys hanging in the bathroom with me.\u00a0 So I ended up getting in the shower with my clothes on and throwing my clothes over the door and was able to soap Cole up and get him to bed clean.\u00a0 In the meantime I am yelling various things about having my own bathroom but of course no one is listening.\u00a0 Crazy!<\/p>\n<p>But today the plumbers put the new tub in the boys bathroom (my new tub is still sitting in my new family room- makes perfect sense right??).\u00a0 I was so desperate for a bath and my 5 minutes of peace that I actually climbed into the boys new tub, in the gutted bathroom with no walls- just a roughed in tub with exposed copper pipes- and with a little help from some <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bathandbodyworks.com\/home\/index.jsp?cm_mmc=GoogleSearch-_-Brand-_-PaidSearch-_-home\">b&#038;bw<\/a> bath bubbles, actually enjoyed my first soak in a month. \u00a0 So looking forward to my own tub!<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully pictures will come soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was hoping to share some pictures of the Country Living magazine fair that I attended over the weekend but for some reason the picture aspect of wordpress isn&#8217;t working.\u00a0 We had a good time despite the fact that it was LAME-O!\u00a0 We were really hoping to find some cool stuff but all we found was Americana and Taxidermy- no lie!\u00a0 If you want to see some pictures you can check out my flickr pictures here.\u00a0 No pictures of the taxidermy because it was bad enough having to see it there was no way I was going to photograph it.\u00a0 Blech.
