{"id":370,"date":"2008-01-04T08:21:15","date_gmt":"2008-01-04T13:21:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/01\/04\/i-knew-this-would-happen-sooner-or-later\/"},"modified":"2022-10-14T10:23:40","modified_gmt":"2022-10-14T14:23:40","slug":"i-knew-this-would-happen-sooner-or-later","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/01\/04\/i-knew-this-would-happen-sooner-or-later\/","title":{"rendered":"I knew this would happen sooner or later"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>the shark ate a dog<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2338\/2165272933_bda914160f.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Yesterday Cole asked me to put his shark tent back up, the dogs love it.<\/p>\n<p>One of the things I missed most when I had no kitchen was making fresh food.\u00a0 This is one of my favorites.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2175\/2166068682_1d7e1715bd.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of my friends gave me this recipe a while back and it is perfect.\u00a0 It&#8217;s supposed to be a bean dip (eaten with chips) but Andy and I eat it for dinner, scoop style chips work best.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the recipe<\/p>\n<p>Texas Caviar (ok love this name)<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 cup cider vinegar<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp. water<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup avocado oil<\/p>\n<p>1 cup sugar<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp salt and pepper<\/p>\n<p>Boil until sugar dissolves<\/p>\n<p>15 oz can garbanzo beans<\/p>\n<p>15 oz can black beans<\/p>\n<p>can of black eyed peas<\/p>\n<p>2 cans white corn<\/p>\n<p>2 cans chopped green chilis<\/p>\n<p>1 diced red pepper<\/p>\n<p>1 cup chopped celery<\/p>\n<p>1 cup chopped red onion<\/p>\n<p>Combine and drain- I actually drain and rinse before I mix<\/p>\n<p>Mix it all up and put in fridge.\u00a0 It makes a ton so share!<\/p>\n<p>Oh and my picture looks heavy on the celery, I just hadn&#8217;t mixed it up good yet.<\/p>\n<p>YUM!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>the shark ate a dog Yesterday Cole asked me to put his shark tent back up, the dogs love it.
