We somehow went the whole summer without working on our backyard.<\/p>\n

But it has been a crazy summer.\u00a0 We tossed around the idea of putting in a pool, but then we thought we might move, and then we decided that next year would be the pool, and finally I told Andy that I wanted to get out there and try to tackle the jungle.<\/p>\n

We used to have a nice backyard.\u00a0 But a wacky spring made everything grow like crazy and our backyard turned into a jungle.\u00a0 It needs a complete overhaul.<\/p>\n

But to start with, I wanted a few trees removed.<\/p>\n

And that says a lot.\u00a0 I usually fight for every tree.\u00a0 But these trees are bad news.<\/p>\n

I am not sure they were supposed to be trees, I think they are overgrown shrubs.\"IMG_4604\"<\/a><\/p>\n


\n<\/a><\/p>\n

There are three of them.\u00a0 They are half dead.\u00a0 Ugly.\u00a0 But worst of all, they have huge thorns all over them, and the limbs keep breaking off.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_4606\"<\/a> The thorns are over two inches long.<\/p>\n

So I asked Andy and the boys to cut them down, because behind them are pine trees that aren’t growing because they don’t get any light.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_4609\"<\/a> It was a lot of work.\u00a0 And the “sons” didn’t really help<\/p>\n

\"IMG_4610\"<\/a> So I have two more that need to come down.\u00a0 I think I may have to use a different company this time\"IMG_4612\"<\/a><\/p>\n
