{"id":428,"date":"2008-03-07T10:08:04","date_gmt":"2008-03-07T15:08:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/07\/here-comes-the-snow\/"},"modified":"2008-03-07T10:08:04","modified_gmt":"2008-03-07T15:08:04","slug":"here-comes-the-snow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/07\/here-comes-the-snow\/","title":{"rendered":"Here comes the snow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You know I am thinking that my mother-in-law should have kept this storm down there in Dallas.\u00a0 After all, they don&#8217;t get the white stuff very often.\u00a0 But no, she let it come on up our way.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>At any rate it has begun.\u00a0 We are under some sort of snow advisory until late tomorrow.\u00a0 And wouldn&#8217;t you know I have PLANS!\u00a0 That I don&#8217;t want to change.\u00a0 Babysitter tonight, a night downtown for Andy and I- dinner and a Blue Jackets game.<\/p>\n<p>We are just going to have to battle the snow.\u00a0 8-14 inches.<\/p>\n<p>It really is the perfect night to stay in but&#8230;..I did that last night, with three moody boys, a puppy that peed all over the couch and then squeezed under the gate and ran away (I found her), orders to pack up and get out, no food in the house for dinner- lots of complaints about that one, a test for one of the boys to study for, garbage and recycling to take to the curb (their job- more complaints), breaking the news to my oldest that we are going out without him (NOT FAIR!) even though the kiddos are going to the BJ game on Sunday with us.\u00a0 Explaining why dad wasn&#8217;t home- went something like this, &#8220;where&#8217;s dad?&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;he&#8217;s down at OSU at the business school for alumni stuff.&#8221;\u00a0 of course he tuned me out after &#8220;he&#8217;s at OSU&#8221; and started griping, &#8220;What?? he went without me??\u00a0 Why didn&#8217;t he take me???&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sigh.\u00a0 I just stared at him, when he stopped I said, &#8220;dude, <strong>it&#8217;s not sports related!<\/strong>\u00a0 If you really want to attend one of his business functions let him know, I&#8217;m sure he can arrange something.&#8221;\u00a0 That shut him up.\u00a0 He gets red faced when he talks about his <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.victoriassecret.com\/\">dad&#8217;s job<\/a>.\u00a0 That will change some day.<br \/>\nA lecture to the middle child about his habit of throwing his dirty socks all over the house- which end up as dog toys full of holes, they LOVE his stinky socks, perfect for tug-o-war.\u00a0 His complaints about not being able to find any socks just not going over well.\u00a0 Finding a book report he was supposed to do last week, still not done&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>So let&#8217;s just say that I need a night out.\u00a0 Throwing on the Ugg boots and heading out the door.\u00a0 Packing a camera so maybe some nice snowy shots and of course more shots of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/bluejackets.nhl.com\/\">BJ boys<\/a> for Blake&#8217;s room, it is really starting to come together.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great weekend!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You know I am thinking that my mother-in-law should have kept this storm down there in Dallas.\u00a0 After all, they don&#8217;t get the white stuff very often.\u00a0 But no, she let it come on up our way.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42 At any rate it has begun.\u00a0 We are under some sort of snow advisory until late tomorrow.\u00a0 And wouldn&#8217;t you know I have PLANS!\u00a0 That I don&#8217;t want to change.\u00a0 Babysitter tonight, a night downtown for Andy and I- dinner and a Blue Jackets game.
