{"id":454,"date":"2008-03-26T12:26:12","date_gmt":"2008-03-26T17:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/26\/textures-how-to\/"},"modified":"2008-03-26T12:26:12","modified_gmt":"2008-03-26T17:26:12","slug":"textures-how-to","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/26\/textures-how-to\/","title":{"rendered":"Textures how-to"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought it might be easier to just do a post on textures instead of emailing the details individually to the people who have asked me about it so here goes.<\/p>\n<p>I think you have to sign up for a flickr account before you can access any of these pages but it&#8217;s free.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, this is the group where you can find all the textures.\u00a0 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/groups\/textures4layers\/\">Textures for Layers\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t know about flickr and groups you can join groups- some have rules, some don&#8217;t.\u00a0\u00a0 This one has a few, mainly just to give credit to your source and what-not.<\/p>\n<p>Another one is <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/groups\/ttvdust\/\">noise and dust through the viewfinder<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you need a tutorial on how to actually drag textures onto images <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/groups\/textures4layers\/discuss\/72157603788136674\/\">this one<\/a> is good.\u00a0 I tweaked a few things with mine- just remember to adjust it once you get your layers together- I think I used multiply on mine but then I also use a weird combo of elements and photoshop together (I know, could I be more complicated??)- this tutorial is just for photoshop (but if you have elements it will work too- somethings are just located in different places)\u00a0 Confused?\u00a0 If you have any questions just email me and I will help if I can.\u00a0 But keep in mind I am just learning myself and like to make stuff up as I go- therefore never remembering how I arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Ok I just re-read that last paragraph and confused myself so my advice would be to google it and figure it out yourself.\u00a0 Clearly I am not cut-out to be an instructor.\u00a0 Oh but the tutorial will help, it wasn&#8217;t written by me \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>There is also <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/groups\/ntl\/\">a group<\/a> where you can post your pictures once you are finished.<\/p>\n<p>Give it a try.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought it might be easier to just do a post on textures instead of emailing the details individually to the people who have asked me about it so here goes.
