{"id":512,"date":"2008-05-26T17:58:10","date_gmt":"2008-05-26T22:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/05\/26\/missed-opportunities\/"},"modified":"2008-05-26T17:58:10","modified_gmt":"2008-05-26T22:58:10","slug":"missed-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/05\/26\/missed-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Missed Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My SIL Kathy and I often talk about how we should live in the same city.\u00a0 But it has never worked out that way.<\/p>\n<p>When I lived in Austin, she lived in Seattle.\u00a0 And when she moved to Austin, I moved to Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>So we raised our three kids in different cities- always commenting about how it would have been cool to raise them together.<\/p>\n<p>And since my husband never checks out his sister&#8217;s blog, I will post her pictures here.\u00a0 I know she does this (well at least in my own mind) to lure us back.\u00a0 Because Austin really is one of the coolest cities ever.<\/p>\n<p>And I do miss <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.riversportstubes.com\/\">tubing down the Guadalupe River<\/a> in San Marcos.\u00a0 The crystal clean river- so unlike the mucky brown ones we have here.<\/p>\n<p>I am trying to figure out how she took a camera with her without getting it wet.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bp2.blogger.com\/_ewKsgQh5GjA\/SDi2MOKM-AI\/AAAAAAAAA4g\/6mg3tLU-3k8\/s400\/River+Kids+004.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ohhhh I see, a ziplock bag.<\/p>\n<p>This is Max on the blue tube.\u00a0 He is Blake&#8217;s twin, only not quite as dark- and just three months older.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bp0.blogger.com\/_ewKsgQh5GjA\/SDi2MuKM-BI\/AAAAAAAAA4o\/AXPrcq7Q7GU\/s400\/River+Kids+006.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is Joey, the crazy blonde 3rd born<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bp1.blogger.com\/_ewKsgQh5GjA\/SDi2M-KM-CI\/AAAAAAAAA4w\/Biy7n8Zoo0U\/s400\/River+Kids+012.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and this is Miss Emma the oldest, 6 months older than Austin.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bp3.blogger.com\/_ewKsgQh5GjA\/SDi2NeKM-DI\/AAAAAAAAA44\/MC0VcHuqjiI\/s400\/River+Kids+031.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And this is for anyone who doesn&#8217;t think Texas is beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>Now, if we could just move all family members to one city we would be all set.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My SIL Kathy and I often talk about how we should live in the same city.\u00a0 But it has never worked out that way.
