{"id":530,"date":"2008-06-17T08:17:22","date_gmt":"2008-06-17T13:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/06\/17\/my-baby-turns-5-today\/"},"modified":"2008-06-17T08:17:22","modified_gmt":"2008-06-17T13:17:22","slug":"my-baby-turns-5-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/06\/17\/my-baby-turns-5-today\/","title":{"rendered":"My Baby turns 5 today!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/159\/335117216_d008dbfe01.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and I am a just a little bit sad about the whole deal.<\/p>\n<p>Happy that he is growing up (because let me tell you, having older kids is turning out to be pretty cool) but just a tad sad that my baby is getting bigger.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that he is still a peanut, loves to snuggle, tells me I am beautiful, and asks me to marry him almost every day.<\/p>\n<p>Cole arrived via planned c-section at almost 39 weeks, our smallest baby at 7lbs. 14oz.\u00a0 He was so mad when they took him out, the doctors laughed and said he had a temper.<\/p>\n<p>It was an easy one, and I was packed up and ready to go home 24 hours after he arrived (my choice with the previous two kids, I hate staying in the hospital).\u00a0 But they wouldn&#8217;t let me go because they thought my incision was infected.\u00a0 I knew it wasn&#8217;t, but I had a major allergic reaction to the sterry strips and it took them forever to figure it out that it wasn&#8217;t an infection.\u00a0 They made me stay an extra night.\u00a0 Of course I freaked out, I had to get home and bake a birthday cake for my oldest who was about to turn 6.\u00a0 I cried, I yelled, I called my doctor&#8230;they told me I was hormonal.\u00a0 So I stayed 48 hours instead of 24 and made it home in time for the next birthday.<\/p>\n<p>I wish I had access to older pictures but they are all stored on a back-up that I can&#8217;t get to yet.\u00a0 So here\u00a0 are a few from flickr<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1233\/528652751_3ba68a7be2.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here he is celebrating last year at the farm- stinker<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/220\/528662827_7e190927a0.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>in the garden at the farm<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1376\/564744476_db38436cdd.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>celebrating at the beach in Texas last year<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/135\/335117213_59f174fcda.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the trampoline.<\/p>\n<p>So Cole has been our wild child from day one.\u00a0 He is small, tough, and has a temper.\u00a0 But he is also sweet and smart and very loyal.\u00a0 With Cole we had to learn a whole new side of parenting.\u00a0 He scares us with his bravery, and drives us crazy with his stubbornness.\u00a0 But we love the fact that he is the toughest of the bunch.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Birthday Keekster- we love you!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>and I am a just a little bit sad about the whole deal.
