{"id":531,"date":"2008-06-18T09:53:36","date_gmt":"2008-06-18T14:53:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/06\/18\/life\/"},"modified":"2008-06-18T09:53:36","modified_gmt":"2008-06-18T14:53:36","slug":"life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/06\/18\/life\/","title":{"rendered":"Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I picked <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Eat-Pray-Love-Everything-Indonesia\/dp\/0143038419\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1213800118&#038;sr=8-1\">the book <\/a>back up, and was surprised to find that I am still enjoying it.\u00a0 In fact there is a paragraph that I keep going back to.<\/p>\n<p><em>The other problem with all this swinging through the vines of thought is that you are never where you <strong>are<\/strong>.\u00a0 You are always digging in the past or poking at the future, but rarely do you rest in the moment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I am so guilty of this.\u00a0 But it is so hard to sit in the present and stay there.\u00a0 Although I am going to make a much bigger effort to try.\u00a0 Life is so fragile, and so short.<\/p>\n<p>It seems like I have been reminded of this a lot lately.\u00a0 Most recently today, as one of my good friends just suffered a terrible loss.\u00a0 My heart breaks for her family.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/124\/364512952_095c591b89.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And a gentle reminder for everyone to enjoy the <em>right now<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I picked the book back up, and was surprised to find that I am still enjoying it.\u00a0 In fact there is a paragraph that I keep going back to.
