{"id":627,"date":"2008-11-03T09:02:42","date_gmt":"2008-11-03T14:02:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/11\/03\/we-all-love-a-good-blog\/"},"modified":"2008-11-03T09:02:42","modified_gmt":"2008-11-03T14:02:42","slug":"we-all-love-a-good-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2008\/11\/03\/we-all-love-a-good-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"We all love a good blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you are like me you have a list of blogs that you like to check in on, whether it is everyday or once a week- we all have our favorites.\u00a0 I have my &#8220;category&#8221; list with the different blogs I read.\u00a0 Scrapbooking, Photography, family- but by far for the past year I spend most of my online time chatting with and reading the blogs of people that have adopted children from Guatemala.\u00a0 Here are some of my favorites.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/adventuresinbianca.blogspot.com\/\">Chantelle<\/a>&#8211; one of the nicest online friends I have met.\u00a0 We have chatted on the phone and she is so sweet and caring- not to mention gorgeous.\u00a0 I followed her process through her blog- her daughter Bianca is beautiful.\u00a0 Make sure you scroll down to the bottom and see her pics when they were in Guatemala- even her mom went down with her to Guat to visit Bianca\u00a0 (twice!).\u00a0 Her family is now in the process of adding another little girl to their family.\u00a0 This time from Ethiopia.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/harrisquest.blogspot.com\/\">Cheri <\/a>&#8211; I just stumbled on her blog recently and turns out she is Chantelle&#8217;s best friend.\u00a0 Her daughter just came home a few months ago.\u00a0 She has three boys (oldest is 18!) and now a one year old.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/martinezadoption.blogspot.com\/\">Jaime<\/a>&#8211; Another blog that I followed through the process.\u00a0 Jaime has two young boys and adopted\u00a0 a little girl last year.<\/p>\n<p>A few more that I check in on<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rayadventures.blogspot.com\/\">Joanna<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lifeasalewis.blogspot.com\/\">Melissa<\/a><br \/>\n<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/ourguatemalanbaby.blogspot.com\/\">Tricia<\/a>&#8211; this woman is amazing.\u00a0 She is constantly doing things to help the people of Guatemala.\u00a0 She is going back down again next month with tons and tons of gifts.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/thecashcrew.blogspot.com\/\">Kelly<\/a>&#8211; Kelly and I have emailed lots, she is so sweet.<\/p>\n<p>The adoption community is a tight one.\u00a0 Probably some of the nicest most compassionate people I have met.\u00a0 And a lot of them are absolutely amazing photographers.\u00a0 I am in love with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/vietnamlucy.blogspot.com\/\">this blog<\/a>.\u00a0 This family in Dallas brought home a little girl from Vietnam.\u00a0 Her pictures have inspired me to get to know my camera a bit better.\u00a0 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/waitingforsophie.blogspot.com\/\">Shana<\/a>, who has a daughter from China and a son from Guat, recently gave birth to her third child (at age 40 and she doesn&#8217;t look a day over 25- seriously).\u00a0 Her pictures are fantastic too.<\/p>\n<p>So there you go, grab some coffee and be prepared to be inspired, by photography skills and a group of really great people.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Monday!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are like me you have a list of blogs that you like to check in on, whether it is everyday or once a week- we all have our favorites.\u00a0 I have my &#8220;category&#8221; list with the different blogs I read.\u00a0 Scrapbooking, Photography, family- but by far for the past year I spend most of my online time chatting with and reading the blogs of people that have adopted children from Guatemala.\u00a0 Here are some of my favorites.
