I have been preparing for a show that I am going to be doing in the next month or so. I am so stinking excited. It’s been years, years! since I have done anything dog related and I just can’t tell you how thrilled I am to slowly get back into it.<\/p>\n

When I was in college in Austin, Texas I would drag Andy to events and fun raisers at the brand new “no Kill” animal shelter. I miss doing things like that. My other passion was the greyhounds. I met a lot of nice people getting involved with saving those precious dogs. Don’t even get me started about greyhound racing. If you want to know what happens to those dogs if they aren’t fast enough? Google it. Or when they can’t race anymore? I will never ever<\/strong> get the image of huge garbage cans filled with greyhounds that were bludgeoned to death. It makes me sick to my stomach that people can be so cruel.<\/p>\n

Sigh. Moving on.<\/p>\n

Fast forward a million years and I now finally live in another area that has a no kill shelter<\/a>. They recently contacted me about a 5k race and family day they are doing to raise money for the shelter. Of course I said yes!!! <\/p>\n

Now that Eva is in preschool two mornings a week I hope to get more and more involved with this cause that is so near and dear to my heart \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Anyway….<\/p>\n

I needed a new place to put dog collars because they were just lost deep in our regular Etsy store so I started a new one for dog collars only. AND, in order to celebrate dogs, saving dogs, and our new etsy store, I am offering FREE SHIPPING in the US on all collars.<\/p>\n
