I am having the hardest time believing that 2006 is over. What a year, it has flown by. It’s been a good year. I am not a resolution maker but I am determined to walk my girly dog every day, we both need it and actually like hitting the trail.
We spent last night at a party for some friends that are moving to Ireland. We are sad to see them go but excited for them about their new adventure. And for us to have a place to visit!
Lots of new fabrics going up this weekend and maybe a new bag design or two. Perhaps a whole new look for the website. Stay tuned….
We don’t do a lot on News Years Eve. We tend to hunker down, make a yummy dinner, and are lucky to stay up until midnight.
Happy New Year!

So much work to do today to get the families gifts in order. Lots of wrapping and still more sewing to do.
If you are still waiting for your bags and ordered before December 1st it should arrive today. We sent everything by Priority Mail out at the start of the week but the mail seems to be running a bit slow.
I took the boys to see Night at the Museum yesterday. It was so good, I highly recommend it.
Hope everyone is settling in for a stress-free holiday.
And please send your prayers our way for my Grandpa who is in the hospital.

Today is the last day of school for the kiddos. I am looking forward to the no school break but will probably change my mind when they all start fighting.
I took this picture of Cole sitting in my fabric garbage can the other day. He likes to sit in there and watch tv.

Speaking of fabric, we have so many new prints going up after the holidays. I am so excited about some of them.
If you are still waiting for your order, and ordered before December 1st- it will be on your doorstep some time this week.

For those of you that ordered after the 1st- which were actually quite a few, I will try to post updates on how orders are going. I am still sewing, still working on getting those out as well but they won’t arrive before Christmas.
I do plan to take a few days off for Christmas. Looking forward to January and new bag designs.

I am thinking about new ideas for next year and one thing that I keep coming back to is “one of a kind bags”. Bags that there will be only one or maybe two available. I need to figure out the easiest way to manage this on the website but it’s something that I would like to try. The other thing that I am considering is “ready made” bags for those that don’t want to wait for a custom bag. These bags will be similiar only I will chose the interior and when you buy it, you get it right away because it is already made.
Thoughts on this?

It’s hard to complain when we are pushing 60 degrees in December here is Ohio but it’s also a little odd. Where is the snow? Apparently not going to arrive before Christmas.
SO you know how your kids will say funny things that you want to write down so you will remember? Well here are two funny things that Cole has been saying lately.
First of all, after watching the movie Signs with his older brothers and friends he has asked me every single night (for the past year it seems like) “mom are there aliens in my bed? Are there aliens in the house? Will the dogs bite them and make them dead?” The funny thing is that he isn’t scared. He just wants to know.
The other thing that he keeps saying is “that’s impossibility!!” Which means something like”that’s incredible!” Ok I guess it sounds better coming from a three year old.
OH and today he asked me for Heelys for Christmas
Anyway, that’s it around here. Off to sew, only 85 bags left on my list to do. They will all go out no later than next Monday.

Probably not a good idea to send three boys out to get a new one

I am lacking it right about now. Usually I am all over Christmas, the tree, the lights, the festivities. But this year we will be lucky to get our tree up by the 25th and my enthusiasm just isn’t there. Could be that I have had tooth pain for the last four weeks with my new crown and now it is looking like a root canal. Then there is the sick kiddo issue. After our round of strep we are now dealing with some weird virus that took Blake out of school and has given Cole a fever and cough he can’t shake. Today I took him to urgent care where they said he had a fever of 103.8 and his lungs sounded crackly. So after spending half the day there and getting two x-rays I learned that he has a virus. Sigh. Everyone is tired and grumpy. I found Cole asleep in a chair, Gameboy still on.

Still trying to do most of my shopping online and of course finding more stuff that I myself want than for other people!
For example, how cool is this stuff?

See that little cup with what looks like whipped cream on the top? It’s a pin cushion. I so need one of those. Unfortunately she is all sold out so I am thinking for my birthday next month.

Such cool stuff. You can see more here
