Slow Down

I feel like summer is flying by already.

And I can’t get it to slow down.

I love summers lazy days, it’s heat, it’s relaxed feelings of nothing to do, nowhere we have to be.

But of course with it comes the fights, the claims of boredom, the messes

But I love it all, because I see now how quickly our summers are changing.  How fast they are going, of little boys turning into big boys that don’t hang around much anymore.

Summer, like my kids, needs to stop rushing.  Stick around a little longer.  Hang out for a while.
