Bad Bad Blogger

Not sure what has happened to me lately. I think it is a combo of trying to enjoy summer and an almost weekly dose of single parenting of one form or another. At any rate I have been a bad blogger.

After dinner park trips are still a must to wear out the two youngers. Those two big teeth….

Tomorrow is Ginky’s birthday- Happy Birthday Ginky!!

So today I threw all the kids and two dogs into the truck and headed to the farm.

Look at this girls arm muscles. She is so strong.

On the way to the farm we had a bad incident in the car. The “tragic death of my kindle” (as quoted by Austin). No idea what happened- the screen froze and cracked. I’m sad.

Something about this picture cracks me up, the skinned knees (she falls down every time we go), the look on her face…

gymnastics are in her future

Within 5 minutes of being at the farm this girl was so dirty; a spiderweb in her hair, black hands from climbing the gate, a million mosquito bites that swelled up, spaghetti stains on her face, apple chunks and sticky hands… Oh and another bloody knee.

But she was happy, happy dirty kids that then get thrown in the tub and become sleepy clean kids are my favorite. And what I love about summer. And the farm.

The garden is full of veggies, there are pears on the boys pear trees and apples on the apple trees.

The older boys learned how to use the riding mower today, with more lessons on how to use the grasshopper tomorrow. 10 acres is a lot to mow. I don’t think they have any idea what they are agreeing to….

I realize my pics have nothing to do with the farm. Farm pics soon.

Tonight Austin said, “I miss when we were young and used to go come to the farm. Especially Christmas, when we used to watch the same movie and then gets lots of presents.”

I told him that I missed that too.

Nice focus on the mouth- oops

My favorite part of our summer trips to the farm are the fireflies. The farm has the BEST fireflies. TONS.

There comes a time when all I get are funny faces

But then nice faces come back

Right now the boys have made a big tent on the floor to sleep in- their new farm routine. There are plenty of beds- but they always choose the floor.

I can’t wait until the girly is old enough to join them, but for now she is in a portacrib in her own room

Fighting has started in the tent- maybe she is better off.

Smirky face.

Hasta Manana

We’ve had two Kindle’s that have had to be replaced because of the screens. Contact Amazon, and they will send you out a new one the next day and load it all up with your digital orders, no questions asked… 🙂

Love the pictures and the farm sounds awesome. I’m always trying to get out of mowing ten acres so your boys are brave 🙂 It’s the lure of pretend driving 🙂

E is so strong. If you want a good gym, we go to Buckeye Gymnastics off of Sawmill in Powell. Love them! Looks like a fun summer!
