Two things that are crazy right now
1. Living in another temporary house. Living out of boxes, stuff in storage, building another house….
2. We have now been back in Chapel Hill almost 6 months, half the amount of time we lived here last time. It seems like it has gone SO much faster. Not sure if that is good or bad. It’s easier having only 2 kids dealing with the big transition but man I miss my older boys big time.

That said, I am happy we have made this move. I really felt like our time in Worthington had come to an end. It was time to be closer to the beach, warmer temps and bluer skies. I miss my house, and it is very strange to think about someone else living in it, enjoying it. But change = growth. So here’s to growing. Again.

Finding our new normal is a slow process. I have been giving myself time to just let it settle.

Making yummy soup when the weather turns is always a comfort.

It started snowing down here in the south and it didn’t stop. The dogs loved it of course (wet from their romp outside). School was cancelled for days, the town basically shut down.

We cozied up and did a lot of snuggling by the fire.

Then the snow melted and we were back outside playing. These dogs are crazy, they look so fierce.

Warm December days are my fave!

And then it was time for the big boys to come home for Winter break. Eva and I waited on the front porch for Blake to pull into the driveway.

Blake came in, picked up Andy’s guitar and started playing and doing his best Neil Young impression 🙂

Meanwhile Austin and Taylor were in NYC.

We patiently waited for them to wrap up their trip and for Austin to join us down in Chapel Hill.

And then he was back in the house with the tongue sticking out for concentration video gaming…

The weather has been nice since our big snow and we have been trying to spend time outside. We took the dogs to the Eno River State Park.

Oakley waiting for Santa and regretting all the bad choices he made this year #naughtlist

This is the first time in years we have made cut-out cookies from scratch. I know, I know. And since all of our stuff is in storage we had to buy all new everything.

This makes my heart so happy. I love having the family back together again.
