Spring Break

Cole is home today not feeling too hot. I think it just may be the crazy amount of pollen that has taken over our small town, it’s everywhere and so so messy. Still I can’t help but throw open the back door and enjoy the warm temps. It’s almost noon and I just made some coffee and decided to work on some pics. But first I thought it was time for another blog post.

When the boys left here (their Spring Break was earlier than ours) they headed to Gatlinburg, TN to meet up with friends for a weekend in the mountains.

I sent this to Blake a couple weeks ago but it is also true for myself.

Andy and I had to go to Durham for something for the new house so we stopped and grabbed a pizza at Pizzeria Toro. It was yummy.

Durham is so cool.

Driving back to Chapel Hill the sky looked amazing.

The tile arrived for our mudroom, kitchen cabinets, and they started digging for the pool.

And then it was time to pack up and head to Florida for the younger kids Spring Break. This time we went to Marco Island.

Some of my fave bags.

Apolis

Kelly Moore camera bag

and of course Elisalou 🙂

We loaded up the car and off we went.

We stopped in Jacksonville for the night and of course Eva had to get in the pool.

We got to Marco Island around 4pm and everyone was happy to get out of he car, including the dogs.

And into the pool they all went.

We have to hide the ball or he will never ever stop.

Oakley turned into a big noodle thief

Lots of swimming led to tired pups

On Monday we rented a boat and went out looking for shells on little islands nearby. We also went to see the Cape Romana Dome Homes. It’s just so crazy that they used to be on land and someones home.

The loot.

Andy and Blake rented scooters to drive around town.

Blake got this jacket from one of his friends Grandmas.LOL. Eva borrowed it 🙂

The 2nd day out on the boat was not as good as the first. The water was rough and we didn’t find many shells. We did find sand dollars though.

We did a lot of hanging by the pool and reading.

We decided to stop in Charleston on he way back home to Chapel Hill. We have never been so wanted to check it out.

We ate dinner outside at The Blind Tiger It was yummy.

We walked around a bit before heading back to our hotel.

Saw Patricia’s house from Southern Charm 🙂

When we got back to our hotel we could see the dogs standing on a table looking out the window at the parking lot waiting for us to get home. 🙂 Did you know that all Aloft hotels let your dog stay for free??? It’s awesome!

Before we left to head home Andy and Cole went to check out some battle ships. Eva and I stayed with the dogs back at the hotel.

And that wraps up Spring Break 2019!

Looks like you had an awesome spring break! We could go for some pool weather. (Gotta ask – How tall is Miss Eva these days?!)

You know I don’t know exactly, it’s been a while since she has been measured. I would guess 5′ 1″ or so. 🙂
