He had a hard time sleeping last night, a mix of excitement and nerves. Off to 6th grade camp. Where they take school outdoors for a few days. The weather is nice, the bags were packed and off they went.

I was with the latter group. Shhh, don’t tell.
Oh my gosh — you brought back fun memories of a 6th grade tradition in my hometown (Tampa) called Nature’s Classroom. We went one week during the year and it was awesome.
Secondly, I love that it is okay to have moms there when you’re in 6th grade. I often wonder at what point a mom becomes embarassing to have around and especially snapping pics!
What a great experience! Due to budget cuts our schools have lost many of the “fun extras”. It’s great that your district is still able to make these things happen!

it seems weird to me…to go to camp at school. do they love it?
i am not judging i just have never even heard of that.
i would be SO paranoid.
