Snow Day!
Which meant another day of sledding.
It was so stinkin cold again. I threw my small point and shoot in my pocket- it was hard to push the button with my big bulky gloves.
We spent the first half of the day at Highbanks.
Notice this cute happy face- it didn’t stay that way
Shortly after this picture was taken I moved over to get a shot of Cole and his buddy Nate flying down the hill. I watched in horror as they slammed into a huge hay bale. Cole hit so hard I thought he broke his neck. It was pretty scary. I ran to get him and he was covered in blood. Busted lip, busted chin, hit his tooth with his knee so his gums were bleeding. It was a mess. I took him to the car and we did lots of rinsing and spitting so I could figure out how bad he was hurt. He said he cracked his neck. UGH. I got him cleaned up and we decided to go have lunch.
He has lots of puncture wounds from the hay.
But he was ok. He cried all the way to the restaurant. We ate lunch, and he begged to sled some more. So this time we went back to Antrim Park.

Poor Cole! He was awfully brave, tho. Still have hay imbedded in his face?
that middle photo…of all the kids at the top of the hill…looks like better off dead. 🙂 i want my two dollars! ha!
poor cole. what a good mom that you’d let him go back and sled again.
it looks cold.
You guys sure are brave to be out in these arctic temps! Tomorrow will be even worse! Glad Cole is okay
Wow! Glad Cole is alright. What a brave boy he is. You really are a good mom to go back and let him finish his sledding. I am sure I would have called it a day! Good for you.
