Today you get a rare appearance from my first born child!
He doesn’t make the blog much because he is usually either not here, too busy, or just plain won’t let me take his picture.
Last night I busted into his room with my camera and told him he had to let me take a picture- he asked why- I said because I am trying to document our lives and he is a part of it.
So he let me. Sorta.
This is what Austin does a lot these days
Truth be told, when Austin asked for a guitar about 6 months ago, I never thought his interest would last. Blake is the one that always had the interest in music.
But I was wrong.
And he plays more than his brother.
And even though some nights I have battle of the bands going on, with Green Day coming from one end, and the Beatles from the other- I LOVE the fact that they are so into music. Well I say that now, Cole has asked for a drum set.
Austin even let me pull out the Flip and record him practicing a song he has been learning, can you figure out what it is?

Well, I’d say that is amazing for six months. Can’t wait to hear what he’s playing by this time next year.
By the way, he is (how can I say this without sounding like a grandma?) obviously a wonderful boy.
we have to get together!!!!! Cole can check out Jack’s drums and everyone can jam together. Bill now has about 12 guitars so even those of us who can’t play can at least grab one for the group photo 🙂
WOW Austin, I am impressed.
I see the beginnings of the “Buckeye Boys and Eva.” The Ginky and I were just talking yesterday that Cole would probably prefer the drums. Eventually, Eva will be the “girl singer.” Wait till they begin practicing for their first gig.
lauren is getting a guitar and lessons for her birthday. crossing my fingers she will be grateful. and someday have something is only hers that no one can take from her.
