So here we go.  I need to drop 10 pounds.  Well at least that is what I am guessing.  We don’t have a scale.

Dietary I think I do “ok”.  I try to buy all organic and I have made a bigger effort to eat at home.  We have swapped a lot of order out pizza for our homemade sweet potato  pizza (shhh kids don’t know it has sweet potatoes in it).  I also take a ton of vitamins (I don’t eat red meat and I think I have finally found the combo that I was lacking), cut out all soda.  I am now inspired to buy all our chicken from Whole Foods.  I have not seen Food Inc. but I have heard enough make me run straight to WH for all things animal related.  We have only drank organic milk for years.  I need to switch our cheese as well.

Don’t get me wrong, if I want a bowl of ice cream I will eat it.  Because the truth is I have seen myself really skinny and it’s not the best look.  I don’t think skinny looks good on anyone.  But that’s just my personal opinion, and the reason I tell myself that giving up chocolate isn’t necessary.  LOL.  I do think being in shape looks good.  So that is my goal.  Maybe not really to lose 10 pounds, but to firm up the pounds I have.

My gym work-out is getting boring and obviously not working.

My plan is to step up the exercise and see if that helps.  Try new things.  But I am limited in what I can do with a 9 month old.

I watched The biggest Loser for the first time ever the other night.

Today I bought the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred.  You know, to shed.

I even convinced someone to do it with me before his basketball game.

We did level one- with his commentary cracking me up.

Jillian looks hardcore in that picture.  Blake gave up after level one, so I went on to level two.  I figured out later that you are supposed to do one or the other, not both.  Level two was harder- the walk-out push-ups.  Ouch.

I have to say the thing that I love about Jillian is she has a real body.  She isn’t a toothpick.  She is just solid.  I’m not.

But I want to be 🙂

So I only have enough workout pants for three days a week- and I don’t want to do laundry every day.  So if I am going to step up the workouts, I need more workout pants.  Because I have a fave, they look like this.

Do you think she got this body from working out, or just not eating… Right.  It think so too.  I love the water squirted on her chest to look like she is sweating.  I look like that after I work out, don’t you?  And what the heck is on her feet?

Anyway- Andy that’s a hint for you- I need a couple more pairs of work-out pants!  And the jacket is pretty cool too.

    I just started Jillian Michaels workouts…seriouslt intense stuff, but you feel so good after!

    I too have been trying to get in better shape. I knew once I stopped nursing our youngest, my metabolism was going to slow way down. My goal has been to build up muscle. I started last winter. The scale has hardly moved but my clothes fit better & I feel better about myself.
    Good luck! I too would like updates on how you like the workout DVD.
