Here comes the snow

You know I am thinking that my mother-in-law should have kept this storm down there in Dallas.  After all, they don’t get the white stuff very often.  But no, she let it come on up our way.  🙂

At any rate it has begun.  We are under some sort of snow advisory until late tomorrow.  And wouldn’t you know I have PLANS!  That I don’t want to change.  Babysitter tonight, a night downtown for Andy and I- dinner and a Blue Jackets game.

We are just going to have to battle the snow.  8-14 inches.

It really is the perfect night to stay in but…..I did that last night, with three moody boys, a puppy that peed all over the couch and then squeezed under the gate and ran away (I found her), orders to pack up and get out, no food in the house for dinner- lots of complaints about that one, a test for one of the boys to study for, garbage and recycling to take to the curb (their job- more complaints), breaking the news to my oldest that we are going out without him (NOT FAIR!) even though the kiddos are going to the BJ game on Sunday with us.  Explaining why dad wasn’t home- went something like this, “where’s dad?”  “he’s down at OSU at the business school for alumni stuff.”  of course he tuned me out after “he’s at OSU” and started griping, “What?? he went without me??  Why didn’t he take me???”

Sigh.  I just stared at him, when he stopped I said, “dude, it’s not sports related!  If you really want to attend one of his business functions let him know, I’m sure he can arrange something.”  That shut him up.  He gets red faced when he talks about his dad’s job.  That will change some day.
A lecture to the middle child about his habit of throwing his dirty socks all over the house- which end up as dog toys full of holes, they LOVE his stinky socks, perfect for tug-o-war.  His complaints about not being able to find any socks just not going over well.  Finding a book report he was supposed to do last week, still not done….

So let’s just say that I need a night out.  Throwing on the Ugg boots and heading out the door.  Packing a camera so maybe some nice snowy shots and of course more shots of BJ boys for Blake’s room, it is really starting to come together.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Oh have a great night out… it should be beautiful out there. We’re staying in… hubby is working late (again) and thinks he going in tomorrow too. ha! We’ll see. I guess it’s better to get all the work done now so he can work from home in a few months. 🙂

thanks funny about the boys and dad’s job. Paul interviewed with them a couple years ago. I wasn’t too excited.

    enjoy your weekend
