My beach photos just keep coming. I know- it gets old. I will end it soon.
I have been getting a lot of emails about Watersound and how to find a place there.
We have always stayed in the condos there because they are right on the water and with Eva it is just easier to have a short walk to the beach. In the future I would like to get a house as the boys are all over the golf carts- which is a must there.
We usually rent through VRBO. Where owners list their places.
A lot of the houses are not rented, so in a way it is nice but it also limits options.
I can’t say enough great things about the area. The place we just stayed was for sale (now in contract). Not sure if they will rent it. I would have bought it, if I had an extra mil laying around.
So there is this weird lake thing that runs along watersound and then out to the beach. The first time we came the boys named it “the toxic river of doom”.
We have since learned that it is a freshwater coastal dune lake. It is full of tadpoles
Very cool
Lots of tadpole catching and releasing going on
And then back to the sand hater- this was after a storm and there was seaweed everywhere. That didn’t help.
Brother to the rescue
Austin cracked me up with wanting to take sand home. He was hoping the smell could be taken home too.
And then it was goodbye to the beach.
Stay tuned for pics of my 13 year old getting his first driving lesson!

I am absolutely not getting sick of your photos! I am also one of those people that is stuffing sand into jars as fast as I can! 🙂 Love that your son did that!
