Andy thought it would be a good idea to take the family out to a local tree farm this year and cut down our tree. So we loaded up in the car, Barley included- and headed out to search for our tree.
The farm was so pretty, and Barley was in good company with tons of other dogs romping around.
We decided on the type of tree, they smelled sooo good- and then tromped off to find the one that we would take home.
Of course every time we turned around Cole was no-where to be found. We must have said, “where’s Cole?” a million times that day.
Austin got a little sad about cutting down a live tree and Blake was starting to feel pretty sick but everyone hung in there
I let Barley off the leash and she got to sniff some great smells, she was much easier to find than Cole, much more obedient!
So then we decided maybe we would take a family shot that we could use in Christmas cards- of course we are missing a few canines.

We’re planning on doing this same thing this Saturday (of course once the front has come in and it won’t get out of the 30s). I hadn’t thought about taking the dog – I may have to make a couple calls beforehand to see if Lucy can come along too.
