Do you have bored kids and need an idea to keep them busy?
Here is one that I do with my kids every year.
Ok first you need some beads. I buy these beads in bulk when the bead show comes to town but I am sure you can find something similar at Michael’s or JoAnn’s.
Then you need some of these (willing or sometimes not so willing kiddos)
Please ignore my crappy low light pictures- I was too lazy to change the settings and stuck my camera on auto.
Ok next you need a board and some nails. I used cookie cutters to draw the shapes I wanted- I started with a tree and a star, but now I only do stars. I made Andy do this part for me as he is more accurate with where the nails should go.
Gets some craft wire- I like to use different colors to match the beads- but you can just use silver if that’s all you can find.
Once you get the beads on the wires, bend them around the shapes- this is tricky and they often come out kind of wonky- but thats ok.
Tie a ribbon through the top and there you go!
I like to have them hang them in the front window

willing or not . . . we are definitely doing this! thanks for sharing!
Great craft. I have always loved doing crafts with my three girls and over the years we have done many! These are really cute and I think my college age girls would enjoy making them. Maybe we will give it a try. And by the way, I even love your “crappy low light” pictures!
We would LOVE some of these (okay, lots of these!) for Christmas … hint, hint.
Oh, I like these a lot. We might have to try it this weekend.
These are fantastic. AND I have all the supplies! We will definetly be making them. Thanks for the inspiration
hi elisa!
hope your thanksgiving was wonderful!
we make these but we made them in letter shapes. so pretty!
the stars would probably be much easier.
Beautiful! I need to make some of those. Now I wonder where I can find a snowy window to go with them (looking around in my San Diego home)!
Love the simplicity – so pretty!
Made these the other day with my son. So fun and turned out great! Thanks for the inspiration! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
