Gettin’ Busy

Today is the day to get it together.

The last few weeks have been work centered and today it is house.  The laundry has piled up, the floors are sticky, there is stuff everywhere.

We have decided not to go to the farm for T-giving.  Last year we had such a good time,  our friends who live a few houses down from us here at home have a farm about 30 minutes away from ours came over to play.

This year is just too busy and the weather is supposed to be crappy.  Cole has a dentist appointment today to get a cavity filled, Blake has guitar tomorrow that his teacher really doesn’t want him to miss, Andy can’t get out of work until late…

Same old story.  When Andy went to work yesterday I was in pj’s and when he came home, I was in pj’s.  No, I did not wear pj’s all day.  He works that much.

The weather is a huge factor- if we can’t be outside, it isn’t as fun.  The dogs don’t have fun.

It is so hard to believe that last year at this time, we had just signed on with our adoption agency, were about to be matched with couple #1.  This year we have this great little ball of baby.  She has a cold right now but is still so happy.

She is also getting to the age where she doesn’t need a bunch of the baby stuff.  We are about to move her out of the infant car seat, get rid of the baby bouncy seat, baby bath tub….

Last night Eva was getting grumpy but I didn’t want her to go to sleep yet so I put her in the tub.  The first time in  the big tub with no seat.  She was THRILLED!  She has always loved the water, even hair washes.  She was splashing like crazy and when she soaked her whole face she cracked up.  I took some pictures with my iPhone, let me see if I can upload a few.

This baby is the biggest joy.  She has everyone in our family wrapped around her finger.

So we are stayin home this year, my parents are coming in tomorrow.

Hoping to do a few things that we usually don’t get to do when we aren’t here.

So today I clean- and check into what I can order from Whole Foods for the holiday meal.  🙂

I have been using the Etsy store to load up one of kind items and also items in fabric that is not on the website.

Usually these fabrics are ones that we don’t have a ton of, and they are often decorator weight.  Some of them are so fun- but they are very limited in supply.  The tufted chenille fabric is probably my most fave fabric ever!!  I actually used it on two chairs in my house- and now the scraps are becoming gadget pouches.  But I only have enough for a few.  The other cool things we are going to be adding are DS pouches.  Boy and Girl versions.  Kindle pouches have been requested as well so look for those as well.  By the way, if any of you have a kindle- tell me how you like it.
