Beauty School

Eva and I went to Target and while we were there we picked up a few things to try to manage that crazy hair of hers.

She was pretty excited about the new clips

So we put some in her hair

We actually put a lot of them in her hair

Because she has a lot of hair

IMG_5060 She thought it was pretty funny

My sweet little girl is showing signs of being a lefty.  That will make number 2 for our family.  Cole is a lefty too.  She uses both both usually reaches with the left.  We’ll see.

Oh, My! This just made my day. She certainly does have some hair. I absolutley love those little pants/leggings that she has on. And if I could reach through the computer screen and squeeze those little feet! She has to be the most irresistable baby I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing her!

I bought those same nonslip clips for my daughter’s hair as well (the one’s in her hand in the first photo)…..I’ve found they’re too small to hold any hair back! I am half Guatemalan and she is 1/4 Guat so the thick hair is inevitable…although our hair is nothing like your sweet darling’s 🙂 I hope you had more luck with those clips than we did!

BTW, found your blog through Meg Duerksen’s-I think. You both are great, keep it up! My blog is specifically for my family to keep up on my daughter as we all live across the country 🙁 Thank goodness for the internet!

Very cute. These pictures brought back memories for me. When my daughter was 8 months old she had a barrette in her hair like the ones Eva is holding in the first picture. She had a ton of black hair too. It fell out and was on the floor.
I left the room and when I came back it was gone and my daughter had thrown up all over.
Come to find out my then 2 yr old had put the barrette in the babies mouth and she had swallowed it.
I had a bad feeling about it (but my 2 yr old wouldn’t admit she did it) so I took the baby in for an xray. Sure enough it was in her belly. The worst part was the barrette had opened up. I don’t know how she didn’t choke to death on it. Her guardian angel was watching her that day.
Needless to say it was too big to “pass” so she had to be put under the next day and they went in through her throat to get it out.
I don’t mean to scare you but since then I have never looked at a cute little baby barrette the same again.

Just curious… I have boys, so I don’t know the answer – does she keep the headbands, pony-tails, etc.. in? or pull them off all of the time?
