Remember the Bay City Rollers?

One of my very earliest memories is of that song. Yes, I am old.

Last Saturday everyone was home. That is so rare these days.

So we took advantage of it. Had a fire in the backyard. Made S’mores.

Well Andy and the boys did, I was up bathing and putting to bed a sick little girly

But not before she played in the dirt for a while, notice how when she gets sick she is still out playing, while Blake was on the couch when he had it? Yeah, girls are tougher than boys.

She was fascinated with the fire and got mad when she couldn’t throw sticks on it like the boys

She looks like she wants to kick some butt- she does

She was all glassy eyed with a fever

These two- The other day I mentioned something about Eva’s adoption and Blake said, “Oh yeah, I forgot that Eva is adopted.”

She wants to be a big kid pretty bad, wants to be like her brothers. She is rough. I worry that she won’t have many girl friends because she is so rough.

But then I am thankful that she can hold her own…

Ok I didn’t mean for that to be a picture of Andy’s Bee-hind. I just liked the fire with the plants.

This weekend my parents are coming up and we are building a deck. I can’t wait. It is so needed. I told Andy we needed it before our annual pumpkin carving party. Usually this party is a neighborhood party but since it is at my house this year, I think I might mix it up a bit. We’ll see. I hate having to chose who to invite to a party, someone always seems to get their feelings hurt. So I usually just don’t have people over.

So… moving on. We started playing with sparklers left over from the 4th. And yes, I had to ask Blake how to do this. I mean I knew I needed to expose it longer, but he told me a few helpful hints.
