The first day we were moving stuff in it was just part of the stuff from the townhouse. And it seemed like I had it all under control. A little in, a little out. Unpack, break down box- haul outside.
But then the big truck came. It’s going to take me a year to dig out from this mess.
Saturday Austin and I made three trips to the recycling place to dump boxes and paper.
The recycling place is pretty cool- it has a spot for everything, even things you don’t want anymore- and there were people there taking the stuff as fast as people were unloading. Better than filling a dump!
Our curbside recyling only comes every two weeks. That’s not enough! I think I am going to be going to the recycling center a lot. Fortunately it is close.
But despite the mess, I am loving our new neighborhood and house. We have gotten the warmest welcome. Lots of flowers, cookies, muffins, etc.
The best was friday when a ton of teenagers (boys and girls) showed up with a big cookie cake.
I made a to-do list for Andy and somehow it ended up on the floor with water spilled on it so you couldn’t read it. Hmmm.
Eva Zoey got a new cage.
Zoey gets carried a lot. She is a good sport. And very floppy.
Zoey chase
Zoey capture
The other day when I had my first solo hour in the house I went out on the balcony and sat in the sun for 10 minutes
and took a deep breath
At Austin’s lacrosse game Cole and Eva were fighting like crazy. Over everything. At one point they were rolling on the ground smacking each other. But then they went to pick flowers and all was fine.
Happy Monday!

I had a dream about you last night. For some reason I was at your house cleaning your tub…which was in the living room, I really think you should offer more privacy than that 😉 Anyway, you were telling me how you were moving again and I was saying that it was a blessing that the closing took so long because the longer you stayed there the more you’d love it.
I’m not sure why I’m dreaming about cleaning your tub but at least I did a nice job on it 🙂

Yea! Stuff for us to help do when we arrive. Ten days, but who’s counting?! We can’t wait.

Oh I feel your pain. We built a house where our old house was. So we had to move twice in 6 months. We had stuff in a semi trailer and then the stuff we brought with to the rental. All was great with moving in until the day they unloaded the semi trailer.
I wanted to cry…. the stuff just kept coming and coming.
I was amazed at the stuff I had packed that I didn’t need.
I was sad to find some pictures and some of my girls favorite Christmas dresses had gotten wet in the trailer and were ruined.
Happy unpacking!
